DOUBLE RICH - Lupin III

FINALLY FINISHED! I got a bit carried away with this one and made it into a really epic piece! All up I have probably spent close to 20 hours on it.

To be honest I don't know all that much about Lupin, (read some manga and seen a movie or 2) but I just love the character so much and have wanted to do a fan art for a long time! He is a cocky, daring, lovable thief, gambler and notorious womaniser! In his own words, he always gets what he wants! That is his partner Jigen in the front, who is as loyal to Lupin as he is to money The waitress is just my own creation!

I went for a more cel-shaded colouring style than the more blended approach that I have used of late. I think it works well for a manga/anime fan art. As for that killer 5-point perspective, it was harder than I thought, but I am pretty happy with the result. Perspective isn't one of my strong suits, so I guess this is a step forward.

Oh, and the title (Double Rich) is from a Lupin slot machine I played in Tokyo. When you get a win, Lupin cries out "DOUBLE RICH!" or "SUPAAAH RICHIE!!"
