Irasshaimase

Irasshaimase! Welcome to Roppongi!

No not Roppongi in Tokyo... Roppongi also happens to be the name of my favourite restaurant here in Australia!!! My fiancee and I must've been there over 100 times! I love eating there, it always makes me feel so happy and re-energised. I love the food, the friendly staff and the atmosphere, so as a tribute to my favourite place I decided to do a fan art I am even going to get it printed and give it to the owner as a gift!

I hope you guys like this piece... I spent SO much time on it. All up it probably took 30-40 hours over the space of the last 3 weeks. I am really happy with it, but also pretty glad it's finished!

Btw, The Ukio-e print behind the sushi chef is a famous woodblock print by Hiroshige Ando. I think it's called 'Nihonbashi' (Japan Bridge). I also used a few blurry iPhone phone pics as reference for some of the background details.
